Silver or gold? Well you can now have both on your wrist with the Celtic Warrior Silver and Rolled Gold bangle, which is based on the artwork on the exquisite
Ardagh Chalice.
A bangle is a timeless piece of jewelry and will be treasured as a piece that can be worn everyday or worn on very special occasions. The Celtic Warrior Silver and Rolled Gold bangle is a wonderful choice as it combines both solid sterling silver and rolled gold in the one piece.
This bangle design is based on the filigree art work that was found on many artifacts dating back as far as the 8th century. These artifacts include the hugely important
Ardagh Chalice – one of Ireland’s greatest treasures – and the silver paten of Derrynaflan.
Both of these iconic artworks have engravings that are quite similar and they also have small shield decorations. The Ardagh Chalice is found at the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin. It ranks with the
Book of Kells as one of the finest known works of Insular Art and Celtic art in general.
The Derrynaflan paten is part of the Derrynaflan Hoard of five liturgical vessels and the discovery of these amazing treasures was made as recently as February 1980 in Killenaula, County Tipperary. It is also on display in the National Museum of Ireland.
There are two versions of the Celtic Warrior Silver and Rolled Gold bangle. The
larger version measures 12mm wide and the
smaller version, which is more narrow, measures 9mm in width.
Silver and gold in one beautiful bangle – the best of both worlds!
