The Monastery at Kells, County Meath was founded back in 804 by monks who traveled from Saint Colmcille’s at Iona, Scotland over to Ireland. In addition to the famous Book of Kells, the monastery is also famous for its many High Crosses.

This beautiful silver Celtic Cross necklace references the Cross of Saint Patrick and Saint Columba - also known as the South Cross at Kells. The beautiful engravings are replicas of the engravings found on the cross which include Adam and Eve, Cain slaying Abel and Daniel in the Lion’s Den. This necklace is a beautiful and meaningful piece of jewelry.

Lovely cross. Chain wasn't long enough for my son so I had to buy another one.
